

ABU DHABI: Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) Chairman Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef held talks with Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on strengthening economic and investment cooperation between Oman and the UAE.
The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in economic zones, free zones and industrial cities, while exploring opportunities for greater integration between the two countries’ economic hubs.
The two sides also reviewed investment prospects in industrial, logistics and advanced technology sectors as part of wider efforts to strengthen economic partnerships and attract high-quality investments.
During the visit, Al Yousef met with Abdullah bin Touq al Marri and Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum, alongside officials, investors and entrepreneurs from various economic sectors.
The meetings addressed opportunities to exchange expertise and knowledge in the development of economic and free zones, advanced industrial technologies and business-friendly ecosystems aimed at improving competitiveness and supporting regional supply chains.
The discussions also covered best practices in enhancing the investment environment and promoting sustainable economic growth through integrated industrial and logistics infrastructure.
Separately, Al Yousef held a meeting with the operator of the Al Rawdah Special Economic Zone to review project developments and discuss opportunities to strengthen local added value and support ongoing investments within the zone.
